34 Weeks

Ah Tuesday's, I really loathe you, especially after a nice-weather weekend! We had a nice weekend, spent it eating, pampering and prepping for baby.

Charlotte's big girl room is FINALLY done- Hubs hung her mirror up on Sunday which was the last thing on our list.

The nursery should be almost finished this weekend, since we plan on getting the crib up by Friday. Once the crib is in, we can hang the rest of the artwork and bookshelves. I can't believe in 6ish weeks we will be welcoming this little guy into the world. I feel much more relaxed going into labor and delivery, as well as the newborn stage.

Charlotte has always been very persistent and determined. She knew from a young age what she wanted, and until she got it, she made it known. I can't help but think this little guy will be a bit more adaptable.

She's going to be an awesome big sister. We got out her bouncer, swing, and rock and play this weekend, and she kept singing to her bear and tucking him in to go to sleep. She sang Twinkle Twinkle Little Star & ABC's while bouncing him to sleep, it was THE sweetest.

Nursery Update!

We're finalizing a lot of details in the nursery, and had a nice weekend wrapping up some loose ends.

Hubs finally got a drill bit so he could work on the birchwood lamp that I had planned for the nursery. It turned out AWESOME! I am so excited. We had the log from our fireplace that we used for the project, but you can also find them here. I ordered a lamp kit from Amazon, so once the hole was drilled, he got to work and wired the lamp. It turned out really well; I'm so pumped!

I also spray painted a wicker basket for his hamper and an old mirror that I got from my sister that we'll hang on the wall.

Here are the pictures that'll hang above his crib. I love them

I've been working on my hospital bag list, trying to keep it simple since we overpacked with Charlotte. I am trying to keep my and his belongings to one bag! We'll see how we do :)

32 Weeks

We've passed the 2 month mark and I'm slightly freaking out. I'm not sure why, but maybe the idea that spring is just around the corner makes me think we're getting close!

Charlotte came down with a stomach bug last week that plagued me as well. No vomiting, just lots of queasiness and nausea. I haven't had much of an appetite and with her sleep schedule being out of sync, I've been super tired as well.

I have my 32 week appointment on Thursday, so after this we'll be back to bi-weekly appointments.

We spent Sunday afternoon running errands getting some things to finish up some nursery projects. We also have a few things to finish up in Charlotte's room, and we're THIS close to being done, which is nice.

We still need to get the crib, so when we finally get it into the room we can hang the pictures and book shelves and get the crib bedding situated.

All in all I feel pretty good about the nursery progress, but we still have a few things to get!

31 Weeks

Down to the single digits! 9 (ish) weeks to go. I feel so ill prepared for this little mans arrival. I feel like I have 100 things on my list of things to do, and time is just flying by as none of them get done. We finalized our Amazon registry this weekend, and we received a nice delivery of items on Saturday. We really need to make a decision on the crib, and once that's done, we can get the rest of the room finalized!

We have narrowed down little mans name to 3 options. BIg sister Charlotte has her favorite, but we're going to wait until we see him to make a decision!

Now on to this weeks bumpdate.

30 Weeks

I wish I could say we had a productive weekend, but sub-degree temperatures and windchills in the negative twenties stalled a lot of my plans to get some things done.

It was nice and relaxing at times, but I find that I am more tired when we do nothing, verses when we run all day.

I'm excited as some of the birchwood craft materials that I ordered arrived last week. I have to get some thin paint brushes and then I should be able to finish up one of the DIY's for baby boy's nursery.

I ordered his mobile from Restoration Hardware Baby & Child, and I'm excited to see it in his room!

Weight gained?: 20+ pounds
Showing yet?: Yep!
Clothes?: Maternity clothes + Hubs' hoodies

Aversions?: Nothing.
Sleep?: The furnace has been running 24/7, so our house feels SO dry. I'm struggling to breath at night, even with the humidifier.
Boy or Girl?: Boy
Movement?: Lots! He was super quiet last week so I did pull out my doppler, but he is very active during Charlotte's nap time and around 8 pm.
Symptoms?: Stuffy nose, tired
Looking forward to?: Narrowing down names and getting some things crossed off of my to-do list! I love lists, it's a really bad obsession- ha!

29 Weeks

Last week in my 20's ;) This past week I had a huge revelation about this little man. I think sometimes my days are full of 100 other thoughts and actions that I rarely get time to reflect on his impending arrival. I can't believe we get to experience the newborn stage again, as crazy/exhausting as it is. Along with that comes to joys of falling so deeply in love with a tiny human being.

I know it's going to be a huge adjustment for us, especially Charlotte, but I imagine shortly after his arrival, we won't remember life without him.

On to this weeks update!

Boy or Girl?: Little mister :)

Symptoms?: Stuffy nose, tired, random back pain that radiates through my butt.

Big sister is obsessed with his book collection (aka her baby books). We obviously LOVE Sandra Boynton ;)
