37 Weeks

Full term, baby! I think I'm in denial that baby boy will be here soon. I guess I also expect him to arrive at 40 weeks like his sister, but I need to keep in mind he can come at any time. We wrapped up the nursery this weekend and I'm in the process of washing the last of his laundry.

Friday night we were surprised with a family sprinkle to celebrate and spoil baby boy. We got a lot of diapers, which are obviously MUCH appreciated, a lot of fun summer clothes, Aden & Anais swaddle blankets, shoes and a stash of PeePee TeePees. These things are hilarious!

Charlotte came down with strep throat, so we got her started on antibiotics on Saturday morning and by Easter Sunday, she was back to her normal self. The warm weather also puts everyone in a good mood, and we had an awesome day.

I go in this afternoon for my 37 week appointment. I don't think they'll do an internal exam, but I have a feeling that he's dropped. I no longer feel his little bum in my ribs, and I'm definitely feeling more pressure and stretching.

36 Weeks

Last day of March and I think I will be jinxing myself if I said April is baby month, considering how close my due date is to May, but I am tempted!

We are SO close to being done with the nursery, we just have to hang one piece of art that I made. I am so excited with how it turned out, and I know little man will love it. Now if only I could get Charlotte to let go of her rocking chair so I can put it in his room....

Our to-do list is shrinking and I'm really excited about it. Other than some nesting and cleaning, I don't think there is much to do to prepare for his arrival!

I had my 36 week appointment yesterday and ott the Group B Strep Test. They did an internal exam- no progress aside from my cervix being soft. I didn't have much progress with Charlotte until the morning my water broke, so I'm okay with this :)

Showing yet?: No denying it

Looking forward to?: Meeting and naming this baby boy!

35 Weeks

We had a nice productive weekend getting the rest of the baby things from the attic and finally getting the nursery situated. We hung the bookshelves, mobile and floating shelf, and took down Charlotte's chandelier to replace with a fan. Once that's up, we just have one last piece of art to hang on the wall!

5 weeks seems like a long time, but with my doctor's wanting to induce at 39, delivery seems scarily close. I am getting so excited to meet this little guy, I can't believe we'll bringing him home soon!

Charlotte has been fighting sleep ever since we put up the baby's crib. I think she's too aware of what's going on and it's starting to worry her. We've tried cutting back on how much we talk about the baby, but between my growing belly and his things taking over the house, it's hard!

34 Weeks

Ah Tuesday's, I really loathe you, especially after a nice-weather weekend! We had a nice weekend, spent it eating, pampering and prepping for baby.

Charlotte's big girl room is FINALLY done- Hubs hung her mirror up on Sunday which was the last thing on our list.

The nursery should be almost finished this weekend, since we plan on getting the crib up by Friday. Once the crib is in, we can hang the rest of the artwork and bookshelves. I can't believe in 6ish weeks we will be welcoming this little guy into the world. I feel much more relaxed going into labor and delivery, as well as the newborn stage.

Charlotte has always been very persistent and determined. She knew from a young age what she wanted, and until she got it, she made it known. I can't help but think this little guy will be a bit more adaptable.

She's going to be an awesome big sister. We got out her bouncer, swing, and rock and play this weekend, and she kept singing to her bear and tucking him in to go to sleep. She sang Twinkle Twinkle Little Star & ABC's while bouncing him to sleep, it was THE sweetest.

How far along?: 34 weeks
Weight gained?: 25 pounds

Symptoms?: Random periods of back pain, mostly just tired
Looking forward to?: Still can't wait to get the nursery finished, but mostly meeting this little guy :)

Nursery Update!

We're finalizing a lot of details in the nursery, and had a nice weekend wrapping up some loose ends.

Hubs finally got a drill bit so he could work on the birchwood lamp that I had planned for the nursery. It turned out AWESOME! I am so excited. We had the log from our fireplace that we used for the project, but you can also find them here. I ordered a lamp kit from Amazon, so once the hole was drilled, he got to work and wired the lamp. It turned out really well; I'm so pumped!

I also spray painted a wicker basket for his hamper and an old mirror that I got from my sister that we'll hang on the wall.

Here are the pictures that'll hang above his crib. I love them

To-Do List
Get crib

7 to go!  I am feeling pretty good about our to do list. Most of the nursery is done, aside from the crib. Once that's here, it's mostly a matter of hanging things on the walls and setting the stage for his arrival!

I've been working on my hospital bag list, trying to keep it simple since we overpacked with Charlotte. I am trying to keep my and his belongings to one bag! We'll see how we do :)

Here is this weeks bumpdate- down to bi-weekly appointments for the next 4 weeks, then on to weekly!

32 Weeks

We've passed the 2 month mark and I'm slightly freaking out. I'm not sure why, but maybe the idea that spring is just around the corner makes me think we're getting close!

Charlotte came down with a stomach bug last week that plagued me as well. No vomiting, just lots of queasiness and nausea. I haven't had much of an appetite and with her sleep schedule being out of sync, I've been super tired as well.

I have my 32 week appointment on Thursday, so after this we'll be back to bi-weekly appointments.

We spent Sunday afternoon running errands getting some things to finish up some nursery projects. We also have a few things to finish up in Charlotte's room, and we're THIS close to being done, which is nice.

We still need to get the crib, so when we finally get it into the room we can hang the pictures and book shelves and get the crib bedding situated.

All in all I feel pretty good about the nursery progress, but we still have a few things to get!
